Marriage rumor...fact or fiction

Prior to wedded bliss, I heard in passing/jokes/magazine articles/blogs that post wedding weight gain is an issue.  Hmm I thought this was crazy talk, and then I got married.  We've been married almost three months and here is the truth in the Warren home....

YES It's TRUE!

Christian did gain a little (shhhh ;}) but then he got sick and one of the perks of sickness, cause it's the only one...is weight loss.  So he's back to normal! I have gained about 4 lbs...which yeah yeah isn't horrible, but when you're pettite & under 5ft in height, every lb counts!

I realized that I don't want marriage to become an excuse to become undisciplined in things I use to be very disciplined in before marriage.  Keeping up with my appearance being one of them.

You all know how it is, you start dating someone...and you spend over an hour picking out what to wear, putting on make up.  I remember my very first date with christian...and I had no woman home to help me get dressed, it was horrible! But it took forever for me to pick out that perfect outfit, and get my hair just right, and the butterflies were insane! Those days were awesome :)

I even wore lipstick which I never do :)

Our 'technical' first date at My brothers wedding :)

Well now we're married, and we wake up together, we have morning breath together, messed up hair, and it is just not the same as it use to be. We are very comfortable together, and that's normal (and actually it's much better than the butterflies :]), but I never want to stop caring about how I look.  I've done too much research for work on how physical appearance means a lot to men, and for a husband..He notices if his wife lets herself go.  Now I know I'm no where 'letting myself go'.  But I do know that it just takes a little, to let a little more, and a little more, and a little more.....sooo I'm getting back on the working out wagon!  Woot woot...and my inspiration? Well of course my amazing hubby :) but also! Dun dun dun dunnnnnn

Yesssss! The funnest 5k ever! Every time you pass specific marks you get a hit of color, literal color on you..and by the end of the run you look something like this.....

Oh yeah, this is gonna be me!
I've never made it to 3 miles before in my life, I've only ever been able to run two, which isn't a lot I know...but I got there, and stayed there, then stopped running.  Then I really stopped, and haven't really run in almost a year.  So two weeks ago I signed myself and Rachel (my sister-in-law) up for this awesomness run!  So now that I've actually spent hard earned money on this run I HAVE to train because November 11 is going to be here in no time! This week was that time, and I've run twice so far!!

Christian is very proud of me, and that means a lot :) I'm excited to get back in shape for myself and for my husband!  Wish me luck on this little journey!

At this very moment the hubs and I are rooting on the USA compete in the Olympics, getting excited in anticipation for the rain, loving our simple and beautiful life.  God is so good.

Cheers :)

Two months!

I'm not sure why, or how long it will last...but so many things remind me of our wonderful honeymoon.  I miss it so much, I so wish that the honeymoon could have lasted a year and the wedding planning just a week! Woulda been bliss!

We had such a heavenly time...and it really is the most wonderful thing...getting married, and then spending your very first week as husband and wife, in a completely foreign and different situation than normal.  We sort of felt invisible.  Untouchable.  Alone.  It's not normal life, it's much better than that.  Everything that touched us that week will stay with me forever, and so it's nice when life as we know it is sometimes touched with this little spark of the honeymoon, and I feel like I'm transported back to that magical week and even if for a moment, I'm in that honeymoon love bubble :)

Today it's because my wonderful aunt gave us the photo both pictures from the wedding, and I automatically think of us leaving to go to the house, and Christian telling me how beautiful I was, and how blessed he was to marry me. We got home and opened all our gifts and only got about four hours of sleep before we were up and on our way to the airport, and then although I didn't know it, we were off to the most amazing week of our lives <3  Also,  Brave came out, and advertisements are everywhere! Brave was one of the hugely highlighted things in California.  When we went to Disney California Adventure it was everywhere, so every time I see that red hair, I sigh...and remember how much fun we had! Then there is a new Cirque De Soliel coming to the Sam Houston raceway, and that's one of the very first things we did when we arrived in LA that sunday...Iris :)  That really was just heavenly.  Things like this happen a lot, and I remember so many of the sweet looks, jokes, special moments, and memories only me and Christian will have.

Tomorrow marks two official months of marriage! Lol not a big deal I know, but it's been the most amazing two months of my life :) I'm just so thankful that God allowed our paths to cross and enter into this amazing journey together!

So in cheesy memory of the first two months of our marriage, I'll leave you with some of my favorite pictures from the wedding and the honeymoon :) I get excited, because every morning I wake up...I'm a wife :)

Brave!

I can't even express in words how much fun we had on our honeymoon.  It wasn't a lazy, isolated event.  We were out and about loving life and laughing as much as we could.  We laughed and loved hard.

These pictures make me cry

Christian kept me company late into the night because I couldn't sleep :)

In N Out...christians fav :)

Life is sweet.  It's been two beautiful months.  I am overwhelmed with my blessing.  Until next time, we will be loving each other, and praying that you are doing the same with your loved ones :)
