Best stress ever

Wow, *whew*  the day I am able to sit down and do nothing, will be heaven!  I work, go home and work till way past midnight, and it's almost coming to an end.

I am very emotional lately.  I go from, "I HATE this stupid wedding stuff", to "oh my gosh I only have week left in this amazing season I don't want it to end!"  Hahaha, oh me.  Literally I have at least two of those break downs/lift ups a week.  This weekend was amazing/hard.  See! There I go again.

Friday/Saturday: High Point:
Friday Christian had his bachelor party (which he loved), and Saturday I had my bachelorette party!  My bridesmaids are one of a kind, they planned such a sweet day for me.  We first started at painting with a twist! Which, btw...as I had believed, they TEACH you how to paint.  As it normally goes, however, when I'm involved things seem to get crazy! That Saturday I sat in front of my easel with a beautiful sketch of my doggie, Pepper, and they instruct, "Begin to paint!" So this particular class was not a class at all, but a chance to get creative.  Wow.  Sooo I tried my best, and even though I realized I am no painting artist, I had a blast.  My sister in law made pies in mason jars, and brought DDP to enjoy as we worked, it was lovely.

My Pretty Pepper!

The real thing!
From there we went to lunch at Thai Cottage, I am in LOVE with Thai food! It was amazing, and lastly we traveled down to Herman Park to the very spot where, a day shy of a year ago, Christian got on one knee, and made me the happiest woman alive :)  We then walked to a secluded park bench, and I began to open my amazing gifts, and with each gift came a hand written letter from each gal with well wishes and memories of when we first met and their take on me and Christian's journey.

I am one blessed woman.

The Ledge where Christian Sat me down and popped the question :)

Sunday-Low Point:
Yesterday Christian came to my parents to drop off lots of stuff for me, and we had planned to go to the woodlands and have a much needed date.  Instead, however, we began talking about finances.  This area in particular, I have never been able to empathize with what a Man goes through when it comes to the pressures of supporting a family.  I truly believe God gave me to Christian for many reasons, but one is to help him stress less, and remember that when we are faithful to God, He WILL be faithful to us. Needless to say we got into an argument on the one year anniversary of our engagement, and we didn't go out, but instead had just an emotional day that led to me making myself sick and having to rest and do nothing the rest of the evening.  *Whew*!

TMI?  I don't know, but what I do know and have realized is that as we get closer to the day, the stresses of life sure do impact our attitudes and mindsets and the enemy really feeds on those. I know our marriage is a tool of God for some greater purpose than we realize, and when you do the work of God, satan will try and subvert that plan.  Yet, despite everything around us that seems to be going wrong,   I am reminded of the scripture, "Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate." Mark 10:9

Countdown: 4 days to go.  Please pray for peace, smoothness, and for everything to go off without a hitch. Pray for great weather, and just for everyone to be in a great mood and ready to partay!

Cheers!

The Year of the Blog!

I am probably one of the worst bloggers ever. However, I have decided this will be the year of the blog!  I am going to make a amazing effort to blog often! This will be my first year as a wife, and I have concluded that there is no better time than now to give everyone a window into the newly wedded life of Christian & Destiny Warren!!  Christian is such a (typically) closed individual-I have stories that would shock you!-but I am the blessed woman that gets to see every side of him! So for those of you who would like to know the man- Christian Warren- a little better, than this is the place to be! It will be a joy sharing our first year of marriage with you, the ups and downs, excitements, challenges, and more!  God has been so good to us, and He continues to be! The most amazing things written here will undoubtedly be the blessings from our Lord and His ever present provision and hand over our life.

Dun Dun Dunnnn.....the countdown has begun! 10 days until an awesome party uniting the Cortez household with the Warren clan! Can NOT wait!  This, however, also means that stress has settled in-in full capacity! As of right now I am living with my amazing parents in their home, as Christian settles into our home in Houston. We have split the dogs....He has Cooper (the male), and I have Pepper (the almost human female).  Pepper of course is as happy as she could be playing with Mulder (my moms pooch) and Cooper stays at home and wallows in pity for his long lost love ;)

And me and Christian fit our dogs well.  Because as Cooper has been at home being his calm and slightly lazy self...to some extent so has Christian! ha! And just like pepper (who never is calm and who is always finding something to do) I am running around like a chicken with his head cut off, and yes...it's crunch time!  As a matter of a fact, yesterday, I decided to be Extra-graceful and fall down the stairs! Lovely. I know.  Being the superwoman I am, I thought I could easily be on the phone, have a hot glue gun, glue sticks and doilies under one arm, and hold a huge frame in the other...instead I found myself gliding down the stairs, and as a result I have neck strain and bruising on my bum!

Called Christian and he was going to bed around 11-with not much going on that night.  I, however, had the wonderful task of creating a rough draft of the seating chart for the wedding.  Not an easy task, and one that has the ability to anger even the calmest of people and almost make you hate how many wonderful people you know! lol, j/k ;)  So as Christian and Cooper hit the hay, me and pepper burned the midnight oil and finally got it finished!

Today's project: Finish seating chart-finish gluing 100 programs!  My wonderful mom has been such a blessing in helping me with all this last minute projects!

Thought I'd leave you with an image of me and christian, and the poochies that compliment us so well :) Our little family :)

They are so cute :)
