Salud Season

Lately my emotions have been so conflicted.  I hate finding myself in this place.

Being a woman, one of my biggest pet peeves is how EMOTIONAL I am! I don't know if every woman is, but I know I am much more so than the men in my life, and I find it absolutely annoying at times.

Seasons. Seasons. Seasons.

Reminds me of Ecclesiastes 3:1, " For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven."

I tend to love/hate this verse.  It seems like God is always taking me through seasons.  Some seasons I am over joyed that seasons have come to an end, and others-such as now- I am truly uncomfortable with.

I have been blessed to be the big sister of the most amazing young woman I've ever known.  She has truly unconditionally loved me, and gone through some of the most tragic things with me hand-in-hand.  I don't feel deserving of her friendship or love, and as I sit with her as I write this watching, "Julie & Julia" I wish I could just cry and cling to her arm and everything would be status quo for all of time. Living with such a beautiful soul who makes my life so beautiful!

I'm sure that's why God orchestrates seasons in my life, because if it were up to me routine would be the 'order of the day' and hardly anything that I didn't want to change would NOT!

Perspective.

Think. Destiny.  If nothing ever changed, nothing would ever change.

If I didn't step forward into this new season in life, I would never have a home of my own, with the man that I love and who is a Godsend in so many ways.  I would never have a family of my own and get to experience this amazing quote I read just yesterday:

"When God wanted to paint a picture of Himself and put it on earth, He painted a picture of a married couple and said “This is what I look like!” … Marriage is the mirror of God on this earth. You’re supposed to be able to look at a married couple & see God … How good of a mirror are you? (Pastor Robert)"

Although foreign, and a bit new...Christian and myself get to experience God in a way we have never been able to before, the day we get married and every day after that.  As marriage is always for purpose, I am excited to know my marriage can be a mirror of God to others about His love, and grace.  That's an amazing thing!

Still...seasons changing always make me squirm, because I only see today...and unlike God, can not see tomorrow.

If you have been wondering how to pray for people in your life, and I ever come across your mind, you can pray that God continue to give me perspective, and strength for the blessing of change. I need this.

It has been my complete and utter pleasure to get to know Alyse in ways I know no one else up to this point has.  To have her trust-which I fiercely treasure, and to make her laugh.  I believe I can make alyse laugh like almost no one else can.  That very well might be because she is easily amused, but I like to think I just know her that well, I can touch her funny bone with such precision. She is such a joy in my life and I truly pray that this new season will bring us closer in ways that we could not otherwise grow.

So salud to this season of living with my sister, Alyse.  However, I will never bid farewell to her friendship or love.  It has truly put things into perspective and shown me how blessed I have been for all of my life.  I just pray that she knows how much I love her and her presence in my life, and that I continue to be a blessing in hers as she has and will continue to be in mine.

I love you La-Ban-In ;)
