Owl-Oha: September 2011

About a month ago, me and Christian got our engagement pictures taken! Thinking back on the day, I realize how much we truly do love each other. Not because the day was bliss and perfect (although it was :>), but because actually that morning we had a huge fight because I had forgot my belt at home (which when you plan and organize for WEEKS the clothes you will wear for the pictures that will last forever, it's devastating when it doesn't turn out as planned-my fellow females will understand), and I might have a little issue with not being able to bounce back quickly when things don't go as planned. So needless to say, Christian got frustrated at me and I got frustrated at his frustration...and we arrived at Herman Park-upset. As we walked to the beautiful picnic scene we could see from afar....we stopped, and looked at each other. Christian said, "we can get over this, and have a great time". He then hugged me, we both apologized for our attitudes that morning...and the resulting pictures are amazing. You would never be able to tell literally 1 minute prior to the first picture, we had been arguing.

And so I'm reminded how Love is truly a choice. We chose to love each other every day, and work hard at a relationship that is far from perfect, but couldn't be any more perfect. God is good to us :) Everyday I want more and more to be married, but during the time I'm waiting to become a Warren, God is teaching me how to be a better partner. Wow. It's hard, but so worth it. Anywho, hope you enjoy, we had a blast taking them!
